Leaving Melbourne

On Tuesday we left Mick and Julie's and headed off for Ballarat. It had been great to stay with them and the peaceful nature of the location was such a blessing for us as we had some busy days in Melbourne and to come home to the country was great!

Just had to post some of the pictures of this fabulous camp spot! First there are some of a sunrise, one of many beautiful ones that I saw as I walked the gravel roads in the early morning enjoying the serenity.

Also, a rainbow that graced the paddock behind the house, I love the rain on dry stubble, it takes me back to my childhood and the farm when those first rains came and the smell is so sweet and unique.

Then here we are on our last day, enjoying morning tea in the sunshine, that was a great day and the weather was delightful, Mick was working in the shed, the kids were playing and later Darren went to the football, with Josie and Grace, to see Geelong play Carlton. They said it was a great game, even though they would have preferred Geelong to win!

Thanks ALOT to the McSwiggans for generously sharing your place with us, we so appreciate your hospitality. Now on to Ballarat...
